A written examination and physical ability test to create an eligibility list for

POLICE OFFICER

will be given

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 13, 2008

Applicants returning a completed application before the deadline will be notified by mail of the specific time and location of the written examination and physical ability test.

It is the applicant’s responsibility to keep the NLR Personnel Department informed of your complete and current mailing address.

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2, 2008 4:00 p.m.

Submitted with the application must be:

(1) Birth certificate (issued by state, county, or municipal authority);

(2) High school diploma (or equivalent);

(3) DD214 (if applicable)

(4) A current valid driver’s license

(An original transcript must be provided for credit to be given for training and/or courses above the HS level.)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY:

U. S. Citizen;
21 years of age and no more than 45 years of age by date of hire;
High school graduate or equivalent;
Possession of a current valid driver’s license

Minimum requirements for hire: must pass written examination; physical ability test; structured panel interview; background investigation; polygraph. Post offer of hire: must pass physical, visual, and psychological examinations and drug screen at the City’s expense.
