In 2004, the city of North Little Rock celebrated it's 100th anniversary. To commemorate this special occasion, a special badge was created for the Police Department by Chief Danny Bradley. This badge is a copyrighted, one-of-a-kind design that symbolizes the history of this great city.

The badge is gold in color because gold signifies "the finest" and is shaped as the shield of the protector.

The eagle, symbolic of strength and courage, sits atop the shield and carries in its mouth an olive branch to represent the department's friendship and partnership with our community and the City's friendships across the nation and world.

The center crest is shaped similar to an Interstate highway sign and is divided by lines that converge to the center. This symbolizes the City's position as the transportation center of the State. The crest carries images of historic significance to the City. The upper left image is that of the Old Mill, which can be seen in the opening credits of the movie classic "Gone With the Wind". The upper right image is that of a locomotive which reflects the City's beginnings as a railroad town. The bottom image is that of the historic City Hall building.

In the center of the crest is the original city logo used when North Little Rock was known as the City of Argenta. The 1904 above the crest is the year the city became incorporated.
